I think it was against their religion to have a car that totally worked. I didn't know you had been in the Wichita Falls area; Mom was from that area and we lived in Seymour for a few years.Greta Koehlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05429623811794360612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6799118134852549463.post-61844202497618275892010-04-25T10:46:32.379-05:002010-04-25T10:46:32.379-05:00That's hilarious! Fond memories in retrospect -- not necessarily so at the time. The dryer coil went out, my husband was on unemployment, and we were feeling the pinch. So I hung the clothes all over the house to dry until he went back to work in the spring. When I went to the store to order the replacement coil, it was around ten dollars. It might have taken me a couple of weeks to squeak the ten dollars out, but I would not have had to wait till spring for the repair. I could have kicked myself all the way home, thinking how much work and aggravation that little dryer part would have saved me. How wonderful it is now to be able to price shop anything on the internet.GrannyPamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01860176725911469162noreply@blogger.com
