Tombstone Tuesday Thomas Thorn


This was a gift from FindaGrave Old Bwana.
I would like to quote him here.  It is something that should be considered.
"I strongly suggest that old, worn grave markers be replaced every 100 years, or more often if needed. So many families just let them go and the graves of ancestors become lost forever. 
Please think about this. 
Thank you!!!"

  1. Replaced, maybe, but not cast aside. I've seen many old, deteriorating stones set flat in concrete on the grave in front of a newer, more legible stone. The craftsmanship required to produce the elaborate carving on old stones is lost, and cannot be duplicated today. So sad...
