  1. One of the important things to check when using a Bible page for information is to see if every entry is written by the same hand with the same ink.
That would lean towards the information being added all at once relying on memory and other information perhaps given by those who really are not accurate.
When I enlarged this page I could see that the capital letters J & R do look different in the lower portion of the page. This is indicative of a second person entering the information. The top portion does look like someone copied out a list so make sure you find other documentation of the information.
It does make a great starting point for research though.

  2. Thanks Lori,
I can use all the help I can get in making sure I have correct information. You're a peach. : )

  3. I love Bible pages. I have a few of them myself and they are some of my most prized possessions. My beloved grandma had written down the full names and birthdates of her children and all her grandchildren. There were marriage dates of my great grandparents as well. It helped so much in obtaining the actual marriage certificates of my great grandparents.

  4. Frances wishing you a Happy New Year filled with happiness good health peace and blessings!

  5. Thank you all for the posts. I will look well at the pages.
And a wish for a wonderful new year to all.
