Wordless Wednesday, Wondering Where and When.

William Steve Sackley B1867 in Chicago.  I think this is a theme photograph taken in Chicago. There isn't any marks on the side or back to prove this.  I am guessing this is in the early 1900's maybe 20's.  Terrible at identifying clothing times. This isn't the first time a Sackley Photograph has stumped me. Click here to see the post.

  1. I've never seen a Wild West themed photo from that long ago. :) I love the women's hats.

  2. Fran, I think you're right about being a themed photo. And I'd say it's from the 1920's (hats).

Love the sign that reads, "I love my liquor strong and my women weak."

Well, I don't *love* it, but...

  3. @jennifer Thanks I love them too.
@C The signs are funny and the way they wrote them. 20's seems to be a choice I've heard more than once. Will check for that time period.

  4. Great photo Fran! With the Cloche hats on the women, as well as their shoes with the instep straps, I'd say early 1920s. Thanks for sharing it.

  5. Looks like 1920s but definitely after WW1. The hats and shoes with stubby heels and ankle straps are the clues. My best guess anyway

  6. What a wonderful photo. I love their shoes and hats. Thanks for sharing!
